Jim lives in Duluth and works for the City of Duluth as a Senior Parks Planner and Landscape Architect since 2014. Prior to that, he was in the private consulting industry for 10 years as a Professional Landscape Architect working on a variety of projects including park master planning, landscape reclamation, and trail/bikeway planning and design. He earned a Bachelor’s of Environmental Design and Landscape Architecture from North Dakota State University in 2004. Driven by a desire to protect natural resources and establish outdoor recreation opportunities for current and future generations, is what lead Jim to serve on this committee. He believes it is crucial that youth develop a love for the natural world because that appreciation will protect the efforts of the Legacy Amendment. In his free time, Jim enjoys mountain biking, kayaking, climbing, fishing, hunting and camping.
