Steve grew up in the Minnesota resort business, his family owned a large resort on Lake Mille Lacs for 3 generations. Growing up in that environment gave him a deep appreciation for outdoor recreation and the Minnesota tourism industry. After selling the family resort, Steve went on to develop & operate hotels across the country. He is a partner in a Main Street business in Wahkon., the Chairman & a founder of the Lake Mille Lacs Scenic Byway Council, active in 2 snowmobile and ATV clubs and the Friends of the Soo Line Trail. Steve enjoys snowmobiling, ATVing, fishing, skiing and kayaking.
