The project will increase lake and river access e.g. dock and carry-in portage; provide trails and small gathering space on Echo Point; restore and re-naturalize the park with trees, shrubs and native perennials; improve the layout and/or capacity picnic ground and campground; and other master plan approved improvements. The project includes design, engineering, construction and construction administration.
Improvements to the Central Greenway Regional Trail within Lake Elmo Park Reserve may include improving existing paved trails to meet regional standards, building new trail segments, parking and trailhead improvements, wayfinding improvements, and turf trail connections.

The project removes an old ballroom from the park that is no longer utilized. The approximate dimensions of the building are 120? x 123? single story structure. The project will also remove an onsite well and septic tank.

Acquire 26-acres with 8,000 feet of lake shore located 2 miles west of the city of Alexandria. This will be the first phase of a larger acquisition totaling 136 acres. The property is bisected by the Central Lakes Trail and contains unimproved uplands, high hills, scenic vistas, small wood lots and wetlands.
Restore asphalt surface on the Wobegon Trail. This involves removal of substandard asphalt, repacking and resurfacing of segments of the trail. The section of trail is Albany to Morrison County.
This project constructed a new group camp at Lake Bemidji State Park that features an area for tent camping, an area to accommodate RV units, a large fire ring, and a large screened picnic shelter equipped with electricity.
Complete renewal of the main lakeside campground and construction of a new campground to relieve pressure on existing lakeside campground. New camping areas will open Memorial Day 2011.
The project will realign 1,200 feet of the Lake Independence Regional Trail (LIRT) through Baker Park Reserve. The current trail segment is adjacent to the road. Soils under this segment began to fail in the fall 2023. A recently completed engineering study recommends that the trail be moved away from the road and into the park along a closed horse trail that parallels the original alignment but which is away from the road. The project is ready to begin immediately, with the expected completion being 12/31/2024, assuming weather conditions are normal.
The project scope includes final design and reconstruction of the play area located near the Lake Elmo Park Reserve Swim Pond. The improvements will include site work, replacing equipment, improved lighting, landscaping, existing parking lot upgrades, recreational space, and access improvements.
Acquire approximately 40 acres of a former Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority trail corridor located in Victoria, MN for the Lake Minnetonka LRT Regional Trail.
Project will remove a 28-year-old, outdated, creative playground that is in poor condition and replace with a modernized creative playground. The outcome will be a modernized, destination playground that will attract a wide range of youth of varying abilities and other household members. The playground will have areas of play designed for pre-kindergarten and for ages 5 to early teens. Elements of the playground area include play apparatus, shade structures, picnic tables, landscaping, and trails.

This program is to restore acres of state parks and trails land to native plant communities. MS 86A.05 directs PAT to preserve, perpetuate and restore natural features in state parks that were present in the area of the park at the time of European settlement. Approximately 31 restoration projects have been completed, are in progress, or will be implemented in the spring of 2012, at over 20 state park units. These projects total 1,283 acres.
At the LaSalle Lake SRA, this project constructed a day use area (parking, picnic shelter, restrooms, boardwalk to fishing pier), campground vault toilet, carry-in boat landing, and a pedestrian bridge that leads to other recreation features.
