An interpretive exhibit was created with table displays using historically factual text and illustrative photographs and a short play was developed to tell the story of how the dam was built and its affect on the local people and economy. The exhibit counters negative impressions about the dam and provides little known information to the public.

To assemble historic resources necessary to complement a traveling exhibit about emergency response.

The goal of this project is to provide opportunities for India Association of Minnesota (IAM) to empower Asian Indian community in Minnesota to build intercultural identity amplify Asian Indian arts, culture, and heritage for benefit of all Minnesotans provide education and outreach to all Minnesotans so as to increase the depth and breadth of understanding about cultural diversity and inclusion in Minnesota.

This project is sixth in a series between the India Association of Minnesota and the Minnesota Historical Society. It was developed to convey the history of the Indian Music Society of Minnesota (IMSOM) in three ways:

1. The collection and transcription of seven interviews telling the oral history of IMSOM.

2. The digitization of thirty years of concert performance recordings by leading musiciains from India as well as local artists.

To provide better organization of the museum collections, allowing for greater public access to the community's historic resources.

StoryArk will hire nonprofit management experts who have a history of working with BIPOC led cultural organizations to develop new systems and processes and train Executive Director, Board, and staff, in 1) grant seeking, writing, and reporting; 2) creating strong evaluation measures; 3) building capacity and fundraising ability.

This project is for a new film initiative, "Images of Africa,", that will regularly feature films from African regions, particularly those with the most significant representation in Minnesota. Images of Africa will put a spotlight on the African experience, storytelling, and contributions of a range of artists, most especially filmmakers, from African communities. This series will be showcased at The Main Cinema in Minneapolis, MSP Film's home venue, as well as other Twin Cities locations, including the Capri Theater in North Minneapolis.

To provide greater accessibility to, and use of, the NCHS microfilm research collection.

To monitor, assess, and make necessary changes to environmental controls at the museum.

To improve collections care and management through an updated collections management system.

To hire qualified consultants to develop and install an exhibit on the 50th anniversary of the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Chapter of the Links, Inc., an African American women's organization.

To enhance access to arts and cultural activities by showcasing a variety of performers, artisans and educators, never before hosted by the fair. Programming will include children's puppetry, German musical performances and dancing, Spanish, French and German singing, folk singing and fiddle music, presentations on the MN River preservation and history.

Provide fair goers with a variety of entertainment from local artists that feature Minnesotan history and appeal to multi-generational audiences.

To hire a qualified consultant who will direct The Bakken Museum in collecting more accurate demographic information from visitors to better understand who is and who is not visiting the museum.

To improve display areas that feature quilts, historic and artistic photographs, American Indian fine art, indigenous floral arrangements, locally grown herbs, and other handiwork indicative of Becker county by purchasing display cases and improving lighting. Additionally, to feature American Indian performers and a Norwegian performing pair to share their talents under the free tent during the fair.

To hire qualified technicians to upgrade Firefighter's Hall and museum's lighting system.

Install an underground well and an irrigation system (or other means for watering) in order to water the grass, trees and plants that will be planted at the Veteran's Park. The Veteran's Park is located outside of city limits so there is no source of water other than drilling our own well on the property. Clitherall Township will hire a licensed contractor to drill and install the well as required by Minnesota law.
