The Children's Museum of Rochester, Inc. will be implementing a program called Passport To Play aiming to increase the number of children and families of all ages, ethnicities, abilities and incomes to participate in hands-on arts and cultural programming and educational exhibits at the museum. Passport To Play would reach over 1,500 children and families a year from underserved communities in Southeastern Minnesota. The Children's Museum of Rochester, Inc.
In the Heart of the Beast Puppet and Mask Theater artists, assisted by teaching artist/writer Florence Dacey, will lead Granite Falls Manor residents in creating memory masks based on their life stories.
Due to Essar Steel (a company from India that purchased Minnesota Steel) opening in 2011, the Reif Center will support Ragamala Dance in touring residencies for area schools/organizations. The focus is introducing Indian dance, art, and culture into our communities.
