Soomaal House of Art (Soomaal) proposes an 8-month art residency project focused on supporting 4 contemporary Somali-American artists to create new work for a culminating exhibition. The artists will complete an 8-month long residency encompassing programs to share artists' work with the community through a group exhibition, artist talk, workshop at local schools, and webinar conversations with community members.

Manage cost share program by encouraging producers within the DWSMA to implement Nitrogen Best Management Practices and perennials, cover crops and/or extra side dressing.

Provide incentive payment to landowners in the DWSMA to promote the establishment of perennial crops to reduce nitrate loading to the aquifer.

Field reconnaissance, well evaluation and efficiency calculations.

Managing Contamination; Cost share program to encourage producers within the DWSMA to implement Nitrogen BMPs

Develop Spill Response Plan to address vulnerabilities and establish procedures to follow during an emergency. Joint plan with City of Savage.

Conduct well survey to determine property owners that may need to seal wells, survey compilation, update PCSI well status and mailing and develop spill response plan.

Determine the well location, well design, and oversight of well construction and development. Installation of an observation well.

Seal unused well #178992.

Purchase new nitrate testing meter.

Drill a test well and conduct necessary water testing to help select the location for a new public supply well. (See Amendment)

Construct a new well

Install a new well in a deep aquifer.

Place at least three 1 1/2 - 2 ft. diameter boulders as protective barriers around each of 2 wellheads.

Develop cost share irrigation incentive program for property owners for water efficiency.

Install security fence and lockable gate around well house number 3

Inspect and seal well, inform tank owners of their role to protect aquifer and best management practices for tank management and use multiple forms of media to educate public on Wellhead Protection and protecting groundwater.

Seal 6 unused monitoring wells in DWSMA; unique well #s 179000, 178993, 178992, 178991, 178990, 467594

Install pressure transducer and telemetric system for city observation well, Complete well field inventory and transducer calibration at each city well and coordinate with City and SCADA integrator to access water level data for city wells.

Construct an observation well into the Jordan Aquifer to evaluate and monitor sustainability of the City's water supply wells.

Remove and replace clay pipe sanitary sewer within 200' of an active municipal well.

Remove existing underground fuel tank and replace it with an updated above ground tank.

Seal three 4 inch diameter wells in DWSMA; Seal one 6 inch diameter well in the DWSMA (216322)
