By continuing to showcase a variety of Minnesota entertainment, we can show off the talent that Minnesota has to offer and provide the citizens of Nobles County with music they maybe normally wouldn't be exposed to. This can lead to an appreciation for either a new instrument, a new genre, or maybe even a different culture.
We want to invite back to our fair:
- Doug Ohman who is a History Teller, he brings different content for the different sessions he does at the fair.
- Kevin Lindh is a balloon twisting artist. In the past he's had a continuous line of children to get their unique balloon figures. He does animals, characters, shapes, etc.
- Jeremy DeWall (and band) is a local Minnesota singer. He will bring his hometown music to our stage during the fair.
Okabena Lake, in Worthington, Minnesota, is plagued by excess phosphorus and sediment loading that causes harmful algae blooms and poor water clarity. Excess nutrients and sediment contribute to the impaired status of the lake, occasional objectionable odors, reduced recreational use, lack of aquatic plants and less diverse aquatic life. The lake has both regional and local importance. It is identified as a high priority in county, watershed, and Missouri River Watershed CWMP plans.
