Minnesota’s 12 regional public library systems, which encompass 350 public libraries in all areas of the state, benefit from a portion of the Legacy Amendment’s Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund. Through State Library Services, a division of the Minnesota Department of Education, each regional public library system receives a formula-driven allocation from the annual $3 million Minnesota Regional Library Legacy Grant.

Through State Library Services, a division of the Minnesota Department of Education, each regional library system is eligible to receive a formula-driven allocation from the annual $2.2 million Minnesota Regional Library System Legacy Grant. Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA) is a federated regional public library system in the Twin Cities Metro Area in central Minnesota.

This project will provide condition monitoring and problem investigation monitoring at the following sites. Mississippi River: Tributaries include Bassett Creek, Cannon River, Crow River, and Minnehaha Creek. Minnesota River: Tributaries include Eagle Creek, Riley Creek, and Willow Creek. St. Croix River: Tributary includes Valley Creek.

The majority of this funding will support our largest public art exhibit ever Alebrijes: Creatures of a Dream World and promoting the associated artists and community art classes during the critical period of July through November 2025 (as well as preparation for those exhibit months during the first half of 2025). The exhibit will take place in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

This project includes: 1) the start of 10,000 ALEBRIJES -- the largest outdoor public art exhibit of "Alebrijes" in the world outside of Mexico.

(Neo)Muralismos de Mexico will develop and launch new youth programming in partnership through Mankato Youth Camp (MN State University Mankato), Austin Area Children (Austin folk artist Flor Soto, City of Austin, Austin Area Arts, and Riverland Community College), Saint Paul's West Side (Wellstone Center, St. Paul Parks and Recreation, and local schools), and South Minneapolis (Lake Street businesses and organizations). Including a two-week camp, workshops, hands-on art activities, painting, papier-m?ch?, and public art.

To provide better organization of the library collections, allowing for greater public access to the community's genealogy resources.

The Minnesota Genealogical Society (MGS) acquired city directories on 96 rolls of microfilm and 12 microfiche cards to fill gaps and replace volumes in its collection that are too fragile for patron use. The purchase completed a collection of Minneapolis, St. Paul and Duluth city directories through 1920.

MGS purchased 100 rolls of microfilm of City directories for small and medium-sized Minnesota communities. The acquisition represents 35% of the total collection of microfilmed directories.

The Humanities Center used a portion of the Legacy funding for program planning and management. This support includes work such as exploratory and planning meetings for new initiatives and program management of all our Legacy work.

The Cloquet Public Library would like to purchase a new microfilm/microfiche reader/scanner to access our collection of microfilmed Cloquet newspapers from 1890 to 2008.

To purchase 128 rolls of microfilmed newspapers from Redwood County.

To create and install an interpretive marker on the history of Lodge Zare Zapadu No. 44, listed in the National Register of Historic Places.

To add 125 rolls of microfilmed newspapers and other local history documents to the museum's holdings, making primary records more accessible to the public.
