Measurable Outcome(s)

Short term impacts have been achieved.

Indicators show that intermediate-term impacts are well on their way. Happily, there has been strong press interest about this project, including coverage in the Red Wing Republican Eagle, Star Tribune, and Forum Communications. This level of earned media coverage suggests both public engagement with the project and builds awareness of the site, laying the foundation for increased visitors and tours. The project has been very well-received by individual donors to the Anderson Center's historic preservation efforts.

With the completion of this highly visible project and an easing of the COVID-19 pandemic, site visitor counts are at an all-time high. This is expected to continue, and the Anderson Center has reached an agreement with one of the main riverboat tour operators in the region to offer tours of Tower View to all of their Red Wing visitors.

Long-term impacts will be determined through monitoring over the next decade and beyond.
