Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

?As a result of a series of dance and live theater activities, audiences who have a deep interest , appreciation , and perhaps experience in dance and theater will come to appreciate to an increased and measurable degree, using interview questions and Likert Scale, something not seen often in our region, modern dance. The audience will have opportunity to attend 7 screenings of world class modern dance performances seen on our large screen and live theater. They will gain a deepened appreciation for those art forms and gain knowledge on how modern dance can be effectively incorporated into theater productions .They will give feedback-understanding theater process via talkbacks. As a result of this series, patrons will gain a deeper appreciation for modern dance creation and exposure to international choreographers, cultural knowledge about the development of American modern dance, and an understanding of theprocesses to bring live theater to the stage via talk backs . Evaluation methods include focus groups and interviews administered post screenings of our modern dance performances, as well as live theater productions, to measure appreciation for modern dance and growth in learning about the process of creating a modern dance/hybrid theater performance as well as our live theater productions. Most patrons do not know about process. Information will be shared via after-show talk backs with artistic staff from Mask and Rose. Evaluation methods include focus groups and interviews administered post theatrical productions, Something Rotten, Silent Sky, One Person Show, Bobby's Last Crusade, and Meaure to Measure Shakespeare and dances to measure appreciation for dance and live theater We will measure growth in learning about the processes that occur in creating a theater performance. A pre-peformance call via social media asking for those who might be willing to serve in a focus group/interview group after each show after the performace has happened in a relaxed gathering.
