Funds will assist Lake of the Woods Art Guild to provide a variety of art workshops including acrylic painting, colored pencil drawing, basket making, and snowshoe making in our community.

As a result of this series of activities, participants in the Colored Pencil Workshops will gain both knowledge and skills in working with Prismacolor Pencils to produce form and realism with layers of color. Participants in the golden open acrylics on watercolor paper class will gain both knowledge and skills in working with this medium and more specifically, how to draw and paint hands, how to paint different fabrics and how to create a 3/4 portrait composition without cutting off the figure. Participants in the Snow Shoe making class will gain the skills and knowledge to work with materials to lace a pair of wooden snowshoes. Participants in the Basket making class will gain the knowledge and skills needed to create a beautiful basket made from natural materials. ?Evaluation methods include a survey administered post-activity to measure skills learned by participants.
