Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As a result of this series, Native and non-native Bemidji area artists, of all ages and skill level, available midday/midweek who seek to find community connection, will further their knowledge in: cross cultural beading techniques, cross cultural embellishment techniques and cross cultural birch Arts and design. We would like to provide a variety of experiences, that people are able to participate in based on their interest. We want it to be open door so that people are able to participate around their own personal schedules and interests. We would like to provide participants with technical experiences as well as history and current ways of incorporating various art medias. The birch bark sessions will look at the versatility of birchbark as a creative media. Evaluation methods include interviews with participants administered during different sessions to measure growth of community connection and artistic techniques in Native and non-native Bemidji area artists available midday/midweek who seek to find community connection. The continued participation of individuals will also show the level of success.
