As part of the comprehensive and strategic plans for the City of Biwabik, the Biwabik Area Civic Association plans to partner by doing projects to enhance our downtown and business corridor. We plan to do "12 Things to See and Do in Biwabik" over the next 5 to 10 years. The goal is to make our Main Street more walkable and marketable. The first year we hope to get two murals painted. Following years will include additional murals, sculptures and a pocket park. Collectively the art will support the fact that we are an Alpine, recreational community. And, an "artsy" community. As we get into the "12 Things" project, we hope to have a brochure with an online presence so people can check into and post selfies from each piece of art. We will unveil a FB check in for this mural so people can check in and add a selfie to social media. Possibly incorporate a QR code on the mural itself. We will unveil this option at an Artist Reception on, October 1, 2023. Facebook will be able to track the amount of folks to sign in to the check in..
