ACHF Arts Access
As started earlier, the primary goal of the Ely ArtWalk is to strengthen the community through art. Our artistic goal is that audience members will be exposed to the visual arts in several forms. Measurable outcomes are: ? The Ely ArtWalk will feature a wide variety of works of art in many mediums. ? Participation in the Ely ArtWalk will be stable or grow. ? Artists will be satisfied with the public exposure they receive. Our administrative goals are to strengthen relationships with merchants and artists, streamline routines, and document processes and procedures to assist future committees. Measurable outcomes related to this goal are: ? Merchants will feel communication by EAW personnel was sufficient. ? Artists will feel the application process was smooth and the setup assistance was helpful. ? Artists will be satisfied with the way their work was displayed. The Ely ArtWalk conducts an anonymous artist survey following the close of the ArtWalk, asking questions to solicit input about the benefit they receive, the ease of participating, and asking for suggestions for future events. In addition, we will track the number of participating artists, the number of works of art, and the number of groups taking part. The Ely ArtWalk participates in a survey of businesses conducted by the Ely Winter Festival. The business survey asks questions about the impact of Festival events (including the ArtWalk) on their business. Aside from measurable outcomes, we will know our event was a success when we see people walking the streets of Ely and looking at the art in the windows. We will know our event was a success every time someone says ?I saw your work. I didn't know you were an artist!?
