ACHF Arts Access
Our goals are to serve the community with free high-quality entertainment for children and families of all income levels, provide entertainment that promotes the values of kindness, acceptance and respect for one another, family and community, and to give children an opportunity to develop appreciation for music, song and theatre, and to increase attendance among families, children, and from surrounding towns. To provide music that appeals to teenagers and provide a safe, fun environment where teens can gather to listen to music that is meaningful to them and communicates the stresses, fears, joys and emotions that characterize the turmoil of being a teenager and to increase Fair attendance for this age group. To hire Country, Folk, Rock and Roll or R and B bands to support musicians from the Arrowhead Region and to promote fellowship and social connections by bringing people together for the shared experience of listening to live music, to increase attendance and raise awareness of the Fair. To measure the success of children's entertainment, at each performance we'll greet the audience, ask them questions, count hands and record results. We'll ask if this is your first time at the Fair. If you have been to the Fair before. Ask where they are from, calling out area towns, Ely, Tower etc. If any audience members haven't raised their hands, we'll ask where they are from. We'll evaluate performance by observing if participants are engaged, participating and having fun, monitor if they stay for the entire performance and ask attendees to write comments in a notebook. A brief report will be provided to the Fair Board that includes the number of new and returning attendees, where they are from, observations and comments. To measure the success of teen and adults/all ages performances, we'll estimate crowd sizes, observe if the audience is engaged, stays for the entire performance, and ask attendees to write comments in notebooks. A report will be provided to the Fair Board.
