Rice County's desired outcomes include
the following:
1. Provide educational sub grants for entities to implement practices to reduce stormwater runoff and retain water on the land, quantifiably
reducing the movement of sediment, nutrients, and pollutants.
2. To create structural and vegetative practices that exceed the required 10-year life span.
3. To provide environmental education to individuals of all backgrounds (age, ethnicity, education) and interests.
4. Effectively engage Rice County residents to become stewards of the land, understanding the implications of their choices on the land, and
the importance of Best Management Practices.
