Rainy River Headwaters and Vermilion Public Participation
The purpose of this project is for North Saint Louis Soil and Water Conservation District to continue to assist with the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's watershed approach and development of the Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy (WRAPS) reports in the Rainy River-Headwaters and Vermilion River Watersheds. Working alongside other Minnesota Pollution Control Agency partners, North Saint Louis Soil and Water Conservation District will provide guidance for the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency's watershed approach to address local needs through participation in technical, planning, and Core Team meetings as well as review of produced reports. North Saint Louis Soil and Water Conservation District will also lead efforts to increase levels of civic engagement and community participation in support of the current Watershed Restoration and Protection Strategy process. This project will provide local public participation work through the end of the first WRAPS cycle in both watersheds.
