Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The printer purchase will allow us to get a higher page yield via toner instead of expensive ink. We also sometimes outsource printing to other entities, and having a laser printer would allow us to bring all of that back in house due to the cost reduction of using a laser printer vs. an inkjet printer. We will also have the ability to rapidly print reports, items for programming or activities, and other needed items. The PC purchase will allow our bookkeeping software to run more fluidly and quickly. With the age of the current computer, it is time to replace it to avoid potential hardware failure. The hardware refresh will give us assurance that we can maintain business continuity. We plan to track the per page cost of the existing printer vs. the new laser printer and get feedback on if the printed materials are improved over the prior printer. We will also get ?feedback from Center staff to see ?what ?these improvements have specifically helped with in their day to day tasks. We will get feedback over several months from our bookkeeper to see how the new computer is performing and should also be reflected in less time spent doing day-to-day tasks for her.
