Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Our goals for this project are to streamline the following: financial reports and tracking to make grantwriting and reporting more accurate, available and efficient; inventory tracking and general day to day bookkeeping practices; our point of sale practice to take into our volunteer training sessions as standard operating procedures. After our accounting system's initial transition, setup, training, and onboarding of SotaBookkeeping, our energies will be freed up to build up a volunteer outreach program. This is an aspect of our organization that has been sorely neglected and has worn heavily on the shoulders of our board. Recruiting, training and a system of incentives needs to be created. Results will be felt and realized when the amount of time spent on bookkeeping is cut in half ie., the wait time to run a report becomes little more than a mouse-click away and when bookkeeping after events doesn't always require followup calls to board members about specific transactions due to inconsistent training. Longer term - we'll know this project changed our organization's capacity when we can have regular volunteer orientation days and open our doors with the confidence that comes from knowing that we have a system in place that is consistent and user friendly.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The Trauma Transformed Through Art and Storytelling and Story Portrait workshops were very beneficial for participants. The workshops trained participants in the art of using collage work, journaling, and freeform creative arts to express difficult emotions, trauma, grief and loss. Participants were asked to rate the overall effectiveness of these two workshops. Eighty percent rated them ?excellent", and an additional 20% rated the workshops ?very good." Participants strongly agreed that instructors from Suicide Survivors' Club met their expectations, learning needs, knowledge of the subject, and ability to present in a way that facilitated learning. They also strongly agreed that course learning objectives were met.
