Being able to create digitally will help me gain a new skill set as well as provide the means to create more professional looking work. Being able to quickly adjust scale, duplicate elements, and efficiently make changes to a design rather than redrawing will drastically improve my capacity to create. Creating digitally will also allow for my work to be uploaded and shared easily without losing image quality. Increasing my skill, expressing my artistic style publicly, and receiving feedback are the critical next steps in my growth as an artist. I intend to continue to submit proposals for regional art opportunities. By the end of this project I plan to be able to fully complete and export a design using Procreate. My measurement will include successful completion of 2 instructional courses, reflective journal entries for each class session, and recreation of three of my hand drawn patterns. I will note the differences in finished products and how these differences impact the expression of my artistic style. I will use Procreate to create and export a sticker design that I will distribute locally. This sticker will incorporate my interest in community and equity and will serve as a way to continue my exploration into sharing my art publicly.
