ACHF Arts Access
It is difficult to move into a new studio, I had been working from the same studio since 2005. I now have ONE spot for my tools, my supplies, and it is a creative space. The work I'm doing this year will launch me into a new sphere of output, as I can really concentrate on the artwork once the studio is complete and my supplies are in order and organized. I will be sharing this work with a wide variety of peers. The work should be of high quality so that I can pursue bigger exhibit opportunities. A crucial measurement of the changes or growth will be securing new exhibit opportunities. The work will also be on display at the commercial gallery that I am represented by, Veronique Wantz Gallery. Selling work would also be a marker of a successful outcome. I will journal this work through Instagram and Facebook.
I am very grateful to have the additional supplies, and I have been using the clay and glaze to improve my skills creating ceramic plates. Producing a set of plates that are uniform in size and shape is very difficult. I am currently working on several sizes of plate sets that customers have ordered from me. The more I am able to practice and produce, the better they continue to turn out. The additional kiln shelves and posts allow me to fire more plates at a time, saving electrical costs as well as my own time and energy! Plates, bowls and mugs are always the most sought after pottery, so being able to produce more of them definitely results in a wider audience and customer base.
