Project Details

Band Shell Mural Project- refurbishing of the historic band shell built in 1941. Repair interior dome plaster, fill cracks, and install new LED lighting and painting a mural to cover the interior of the dome. This grant focuses on the mural painting only.

The completion of the band shell mural will change the band shell from a drab faceless dome to a beautiful display of free public art. The artist will keep the committee informed as to the progress and completion of the mural. Community Legacies will use Once the band shell is repaired, the artist will paint the dome. His work will be monitored by the project director. When the painting is completed, the project committee will evaluate the work and pay the artist.
