Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Adding such a piece will bring more individuals not to just the library but to the town to view and enjoy the art piece. Being a fully accessible project, all can enjoy sitting on the bench or reading the names of those who added their leaves to the tree, and watch as the number of leaves grows and making the tree fuller. Making the piece functional through the addition of a bench will enhance its use and enjoyment. We hope to create feelings of joy in others by sparking these key memories and reminding them of those past times as they see the statue over the years. As the years march by and leaves are added it will grow the sense of community within the town and also show those visiting the area how the community supports their library. To ensure we are reaching these goals listed above we will use a purely observational recording process. We will be able to see individuals using the bench, running around the statue or standing and observing the piece, as well as keeping record of the number of leaves as more donators and contributors assist the library.
