Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Once this project is completed, we will have a start on a Fabric Art department that we can add to as we progress in our development to provide new experiences to our members and students. The accessibility on adjusting height tables and proper tools will allow more people to use the area and create beautiful Fabric Art including quilting, macrame, needlepoint and a certain amount of lap weaving. Our purpose in this plan is to provide a safe and accessible environment for all community members and students to have the opportunity to experience a new art form they have not had the opportunity to access previously. As the department grows, so will the opportunities for life long learning and advancement in this art form. We hope to include classes in Hispanic cultural clothing and the importance this has on their community and ours in the near future.; We will redesign our fabric art area with the intention of providing the public with a space and equipment to increase their skills in fabric art. Our plan is to advertise classes that include all forms of Fabric Art. Our outcomes will partially be determined by the number of participants signing up for class and the feedback we receive from class evaluation forms. Also we will note how many of our members decide to try a new discipline. We will offer some free demonstrations to our members at our monthly member only meetings.; Success will be measured by increased class attendance and evaluation forms given to attendees after each class.
