Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

It will allow for a successful RFQ by way of paying for the four artists' renderings/proposals. Community engagement by way of displaying the renderings/proposals publicly and meeting local artists. Step towards being able to apply for a public arts grant that can help support the creation of the selected artist(s) work. The first public arts grant has shown the community that art is a beautiful and timeless way to tell the history of the city. Continued engagement by citizens, businesses, and organizations on the success of that project and conversations about other projects that could be done. We hope to expect more engagement from the community as we intend to do reach out in different ways and incorporate several city wide events during the proposal process. Additionally, a survey being created to elicit feedback from the people of the city and a second for teachers and students after the project is completed. Verbal and written feedback indicates understanding and appreciation of the artwork and its relationship to the history of Foley. It is from there that we can learn more about what public art has done and how it would continue to play a role in the future. ; Commission 4 artists to create proposals for an art project Committee members will review the responses to the RFQ and select four artists that best reflect the criteria developed for this community project. Community members and visitors will be invited to provide input on the artist renderings/proposals through a variety of methods and at several community events. The assessment process will include ballot voting and verbal feedback; This input will be compiled and evaluated to determine which artist concept is supported by the community, and final selection through the judging panel that consists of a member of City Council, FEDC, EDA, and Chamber.; Use of public input, judging panel, the FEDC, and the City to select a proposal that best fits as it relates to the arts.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Had many from the community engage the board or the artists both verbally and in the form of written comments. Shared and reviewed feedback as a board during normal scheduled meetings.
