ACHF Arts Education
Throughout the process of developing and releasing a call for art, receiving and reviewing proposals, soliciting community input and selecting designs to steward through creation and implementation, we will be guaging the effectiveness of our communication through a few different metrics. - We will identify any increases in engagement in this community project between GRCM and the arts community by noting how many artists decide to review and participate in the call for art. If artists do not opt to participate but do remain engaged with GRCM through social media, newsletter sign up, or other means will, that will serve as the start to an ongoing relationship for GRCM and the artist(s). - Through allyship in the arts community, GRCM will engage more of the community overall. Arts enthusiasts, or individuals who might see themselves in some of the art that is being considered, may join our family of friends. We track engagement at all outreach events and will similarly track engagement for this process. - We will move toward becoming a space where, through a diverse array of regional art, all will feel as though a part of their story is being told - Through connections to arts, GRCM will be better able to support future artists as the project evolves. We will ask participants how the process could have been better, more efficient, or clearer and will work to implement changes in future calls for art. The entire museum planning team will become aware of more opportunities to feature art and connect with community. - An increase in donor support for arts related activities and longer term projects will signal community desire for this approach support; Proposals for two to three separate works of art as feature pieces connected to or within the new Great River Children's Museum facility Great River Children's Museum will record the following metrics: - number of artists responding to the call for art proposal - number of new followers and newsletter participants gained during the promotion of the call for art and the 2 weeks following the response deadline - contact information received from artists interested in the project - number of survey particpants (online and via paper) - number of individuals engaged in providing feedback via an interactive method at Great River Regional Library locations, at the Art Crawl in downtown St. Cloud, and at Sauk-Rapids Rice Middle School (Diggin' Diversity Club) - number of artists evaluating the process via survey distributed via email - value of donations received in support of art initiatives at GRCM; Metrics include # of artists responding, # new followers / newsletter, contact info received, # survey particpants, # individuals engaged in providing feedback, # artists evaluating the process, value of donations in support of art initiatives
