Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Expected outcomes include hosting an exceptional diverse dance company, audiences and workshop participants will report a new understanding and interest in the genre. ; Expected outcomes include: ? Central MN audiences will experience, in their community, an exceptional Indigenous dance company in a performance that shares Anishinaabe sky and star stories ? Audiences will report new understanding/interest in Indigenous culture and astrology ? Audiences and workshop participants will report a new understanding/interest in contemporary and cultural dance forms ? At minimum, 80 central Minnesotans will participate in intimate outreach activities that introduce them to either a new dance vocabulary, new understanding of Native astrology or both ? 25% of the audience will report this is their first dance performance or that this is their first experience with a Native art form ? We will build new relationships with regional Native communities Survey audiences and workhsop participants, track box office data, post-event evaluation.; CSB will measure outcomes in the following ways: ? Central Minnesota audiences: distribute electronic surveys asking, among other things, if audiences feel like the performance gave them access to a unique art form that is otherwise unrepresented regionally. We will survey to find out if this event attracted new audiences and to measure audience perception of experience and genre ? Workshops: Survey participants and/or facilitators to find out if the workshop taught new skills and techniques or provided new cultural insight and awareness ? Track box office and participation data ? Engage in post-event discussions with faculty partners to assess cultural capacity growth of students based on participating in activities

Measurable Outcome(s)

Over 2000 people were exposed and enjoyed chalk art for the first time. We had a board member taking approximate counts of people walking on the street looking at the chalk art. This Public Art event was very successful. We had prepared 8 spaces for Amateur artists and 35 spaces were used.
