Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

When this project is completed, the History Museum will have been instrumental in creating new art work and an opportunity to talk about the bigger project. The bigger project will be the restoration of the Creamery building in Sauk Centre. New interest in what is happening to the building will give the History Museum Board, their staff and volunteers the opportunity to increase the knowledge of the community about the grant process, where the Creamery is at in that process and the work that can be done together to bring the process closer to completion. So two fold, the History Museum will have brought a new Art project to Sauk Centre and will have increased the community's knowledge about another form of art. Through these funded activities, the History Museum will have created an opportunity to increase the community's awareness about the work being done on the Creamery building. Through this knowledge we hope to secure more volunteers and create an excitement and anticipation for the new museum. The Board believes that donations will increase as people are aware of the process of writing grants and the actuality of seeing a new Museum and the funds it takes to secure that Museum. This community art project will be a valuable tool in awareness of the larger Creamery project while at the same time being an attractive addition to the public art scene in Sauk Centre. A survey inserted into the Sauk Centre Herald which has a circulation of 18,400, will evaluate the community's response to the completion of the art project. A survey will ascertain the feelings about the paintings on the Creamery and their understanding of the purpose for such paintings. We will also gather info about the community's knowledge of the granting process.

Measurable Outcome(s)

Our outcomes of increased engagement and access for youth with a special emphasis on those with socioeconomic barriers and Increasing knowledge and appreciation of the arts by our participants and to develop a better understanding of the ins and outs of creating a production by the participants in the workshop were measured and achieved through surveying our participants.
