Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

We seek to enhance connections and community among young pianists while working to provide specialized education and rare opportunities to rehearse and perform with other outstanding musicians.; We expect 30-40 campers to attend this summer, and our hope is to grow the camp each year. As we are re-starting the in-person camps again, there may be slightly less enrollment than in years past as interest grows toward in-person activities again. This grant would help with the growth and development of the camp in our new location. Measurable traits we are looking to improve in our students are Confidence in Expression, Inspiration, Dedication to Practice, and Deeper Understanding of Materials. We also uphold the value of Community among both faculty and students, creating connections and strengthening those connections through experiences. These values have been witnessed in past camps and are expressed in published testimonials from previous students. This year, alignment with values will be assessed in a post-camp survey. Additional assessments to perform this year include having the Faculty observe and report noticeable changes in our students. We do this in a casual, fun way by creating an individualized award for each student at the end of camp based on their musical and community impact. These awards are usually a blend of humor and earnest commendation. This year, more formal surveys in the hands of the Faculty will make improvements in student outcomes easier to track. Finally, audience members at our recitals will fill out a brief survey assessing their experience and impressions of the camp. These questions will be developed as we finalize our performance programming for the camp. Assessments and surveys will be completed by campers, faculty, and audience members.; In past years we have had exit surveys on the last day of camp when it was in-person. During our online camps we conducted surveys via Google Forms, example given below. We will be conducting surveys for the public recitals included in the program as well as including relevant questions in an exit survey for students and an online survey for parents. Faculty will be assessing students' growth as well.
