Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The Purpose of this exhibit is to provide space for a contemporary artist to create an installation in order to shed light on one aspect of the black experience in order to provide context for more conversations around race and equity.; The Purpose of this exhibit is to provide space for a contemporary artist to create an installation in order to shed light on one aspect of the black experience in order to provide context for more conversations around race and equity. By supporting KOBI through the installation of this exhibition, and providing resources to help fully realize his vision, there is a broader impact on the audiences and creators within the community. Providing a variety of events for audiences to engage with the work will lead to a better understanding of how the arts can be a catalyst for learning and understanding complex issues. To ensure that we reach communities of color, we will invite area organizations, leaders and churches to engage and reflect on the work. These reflections will help inform future programming around these issues. We will ask for response to the work through a postcard prompt available at the exhibit that serves as both a survey and "journal" of sorts. Online reflections will also be considered as a qualitative review of the work.; Upon completion of this project, we will reflect on the exhibition itself, in how it felt in terms of its impact and implementation, as well as how it could adapt to other possibilities for the artists and those involved. This will be a meeting and/or survey of all the creative partners and key community leadership. We will ask for response to the work through a postcard prompt available at the exhibit that serves as both a survey and "journal" of sorts. Online reflections will also be considered as a qualitative review of the work. We will proactively engage with community members to ensure that they feel welcome and heard in various aspects of the project through a marketing plan and opportunities to share ideas and suggestions to build engagement with various pockets of the community.
