ACHF Arts Access
Approximately 65 performers will have opportunities to engage with a professional creative team both in music learning and in performance. Approximately 1,650 school children and audience members will experience a high-caliber artistic performance.; Approximately 65 performers (ages 9-15) will have opportunities to engage with a professional creative team ? director, choreographer, costume and set designer, ? both in music learning and in performance. These interactions increase the boys' understanding of the technical aspects of putting on a performance, but also aid in their understanding of the artistic process as a whole. Approximately 1,000 school children and approximately 650 audience members from the Central Minnesota community will experience a high-caliber artistic performance. Our community benefits from more people gaining exposure to the arts, particularly in accessible forms such as a concert of this type. Audience statistics will be tracked. Written feedback will be sought. Group discussions with the performers will be held.; Audience statistics will be tracked to measure the number of local citizens who experienced the performance. We will collect information regarding new patrons and returning patrons and determine where they learned about this project. These statistics will help our organization improve marketing efforts to reach a broader audience. Written feedback will be sought through an easily accessible online survey in order to assess their appreciation for the event. This process was implemented in the 2015-2016 season and information has already been used to shape performances over the past several seasons. Participants in the online survey have an opportunity to win free tickets to a future performance by The St. John's Boys' Choir, serving as incentive to participate in the survey. Group discussions with the performers will be held throughout the process to assess their growing understanding of the music being studied as well as all aspects of a musical production.
