ACHF Arts Education
To provide a ruobust art program for 1st-12th grade youth; Participants will learn the following: 1. How to use Creative Thinking and Problem Solving in order to "make things work." 2. How to adapt to new circumstances or opportunities using their creative tool box 3. That creativity is more than drawing or painting. 4. That to learn art isn't about becoming a professional artist, but rather having innovative super powers to overcome all sorts of things in life! Participants will improve their fine motor skills and interpersonal skills. With up to 60 youth participating (goal!), families and friends will be amazed by their achievements when they go to the final exhibition on the last day. feedback from programming will show positive impacts on the child's creative spirit; We will survey and discuss the learning objectives throughout the art camp as a regular check in on their success. With qualitative reflection methods, like journaling or discussion, we will get an understanding of their growth throughout the camp period. We will document their improvements in motor skills over the camp period through photography and their portfolio of finished work. We will host a short reception at the end of the camp, inviting family and friends to give feedback of the finished work and program over all. A digital survey will also be provided for families. A QR code will be available at the TSAD locations
Young people reported via verbal survey that they felt good/comfortable (94%), happy (94%), and cared for/valued (94%) during this event. 84% of adults reported they felt connected to another culture's poetry because of the event they attended. 100% of artists reported Lyricality Tea Party Celebrations facilitated a connection to others' cultural heritage, and the audience was highly engaged.
