$5,982,000 the first year and $7,000,000 the second year are for statewide historic and cultural grants to local, county, regional, or other historical or cultural organizations or for activities to preserve significant historic and cultural resources. Money must be distributed through a competitive grant process. The Minnesota Historical Society must administer the money using established grant mechanisms, with assistance from the advisory committee created under Laws 2009, chapter 172, article 4, section 2, subdivision 4, paragraph (b), item (ii).

The short term and intermediate goals were achieved. We have the spreadsheets full of metadata complete. Staff at the Elmer Andersen Library and Mixed Blood Theatre have full access to newly digitized items.
Slides are stored in proper containers at the Library. Cecily Marcus no longer works at the library, so Pearl assisted us with taking the items in.
Digitized items are not yet in a searchable format in the database at the university. However, the staff at the university have what they need to set it up. Other than the database, the goals have been achieved. We were able to achieve these results with the appropriate funding and helpful advice from the Andersen Library and MNHS.
