Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Perceived or real barriers to participation are addressed. Social or human service organizations use arts to help achieve their service goals. Partnerships are developed between social service organizations and arts organizations to better serve underserved communities.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The Duluth Art Institute brought the arts to an underserved population at Benedictine 24 times, where staff assistance was provided to enable those with physical or cognitive disabilities to participate. Benedictine also provided accessible transportation to the Duluth Art Institute two times, so participants could complete an art project and tour the gallery. 2: This program achieves the mission of Benedictine Health System and adheres to our core values--hospitality; stewardship; respect; and justice, by bringing a collaborative partnership with Duluth Art Institute to an underserved population. Through this partnership, program members completed meaningful activities designed to promote creative thinking and large and small muscle movements, visually stimulating programming that promotes new learning and independence.
