Project Details

Project for Pride in Living will engage with artists whose work reflects the cultural communities of residents who have experienced homelessness, building cultural understanding and connection through arts participation.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

PPL will engage residents in positive experiences together to strengthen family and community bonds. PPL staff will track attendance at art events and conduct unstructured interviews with participants after each event. 2: Residents will deepen awareness and knowledge about their own and other cultures within their community. PPL staff will conduct unstructured interviews of program participants after each event.

Measurable Outcome(s)

PPL engaged residents in positive experiences together to strengthen family and community bonds. Staff observed participants engaging, diving right into improv, acting silly (artist's word), and laughing. 2: 27% of participants deepened awareness/knowledge of the artist's culture and 57% of participants deepened awareness/knowledge of their own culture. A sticker chart method of evaluation was used. Participants noted their responses to specific questions with colored stickers on posters at the end of the event.
