Partners in Arts Participation
ACHF Arts Access
Social or human service organizations use arts to help achieve their service goals. More Minnesotans are able to participate in the arts. Perceived or real barriers to participation are addressed.
CLIMB Theatre presented interactive programming at camp sessions to help camp participants with special needs build social skills such as reading or displaying emotions, changing voice, movement and storytelling. Dramatic activities can help people with special needs understand their social world and visualize and practice how they can respond appropriately in social interactions. 2: CLIMB Theatre Inc. and Camps of Courage and Friendship developed a partnership for summer 2013 to bring interactive drama programming to individuals with a variety of developmental, physical or learning disorders. Some of the camp participants may have attended or watched dramatic performances, but few have actually participated in them.
