Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Social or human service organizations use arts to help achieve their service goals. Partnerships are developed between social service organizations and arts organizations to better serve underserved communities. Perceived or real barriers to participation are addressed.

Measurable Outcome(s)

One of our primary service goals is to provide the clients we serve with functional skills in areas that may keep them safe, that may promote appropriate social engagement, that may teach awareness and independence in personal cares or promote self-sufficiency and confidence. The actors provided the clients with some great educational information and our staff with many ideas and resources to more actively engage the clients in the learning process. 2: The individuals we support within our Day Training and Habilitation program most often do not have the funds, resources or ability to experience the arts. The CLIMB program was engaging, stimulating AND educational and offered a unique art and theatrical experience to adults with developmental disabilities who have minimal or no exposure to this.
