Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

As stated above, we need to upgrade our computers so that we're able to offer safe, usable equipment for our students. We are already well-covered in the guitars/basses/keyboards/drums areas, but our recording workstations are no longer supported by virus protection and are no longer able to be updated. We must upgrade them as soon as we can. If we're able to replace at least one of our computers before we next reopen, we'll consider that a smashing success. This grant will go a long way towards helping us achieve that goal, and may be enough to achieve it completely.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The Music Resource Center sought to secure funding from ARAC so that we may maintain the program through the Coronavirus Pandemic. With the onset of COVID 19, we were uncertain of the duration of the shutdown and soon recognized the implications of prolonged inactivity. Establishing a focus group of individuals from varied areas of expertise to examine existing program functions and structure has enabled us to build upon the existing strengths of the MRC while increasing our opportunities for reaching greater audiences and work toward self-sustenance; in this regard, I believe that we have not only achieved, but exceeded our goals.
