Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

The EWF's goal for this funding is to retain its coordinator and maintain its office in Ely. Our board is composed of active volunteers with specific responsibilities, but the amount of effort required leading up to the Festival becomes overwhelming for an all-volunteer group. The coordinator's ability to multi-task enables us to present successful events, and the loss of the coordinator would be a setback difficult to recover from. Having office space in Ely has helped us better manage our activities. All inventory and files are in one place, and accessible to board members 24/7. This has enabled us to manage inventory effectively, boost pin and T-shirt sales, and create an online store. Our phone line keeps us in contact with the public throughout the year. By retaining our coordinator and maintaining our office in Ely, the EWF board will be able to focus its resources on presenting the 2021 Ely Winter Festival and Snow Sculpting Symposium. We will measure success at the end of 2020. We will be successful if coordinator Shauna Vega is retained through the end of December, and if we are still renting office space at 423 E. Sheridan Street in Ely.

Measurable Outcome(s)

EWF's goal was to retain its coordinator and maintain its office in Ely. Because we did not have to worry about covering those fixed expenses, the EWF board has been able to focus its resources on presenting the 2021 Ely Winter Festival and Snow Sculpting Symposium. Our board is composed of volunteers with specific responsibilities, but the amount of effort required leading up to the Festival becomes overwhelming for an all-volunteer group. These activities are helping us maintain contact with our artists and fans who are not able to participate in person.
