By taking my eighteen piece big band to perform at the Jazz Educators national convention in Louisville, Kentucky I was able to provide my group members with a rare opportunity to perform on a national stage plus experience two days of clinics and concerts. In that we spent 24 hours together on the round trip bus ride to Louisville, I was able to obtain much feedback from the players on their reaction to having the opportunity to perform there. I also received much positive feedback by way of emails.
