The mission of TWPO is to continue bring a high level of performance of excellent wind literature to the public in a wide variety of venues. This year we have Oysten Baadsvick (international renown tuba soloist and recording artist) of Norway as a featured guest artist in our fall concert. TPWO will play for Minnesota Ballet's production of "Carnival of the Animals and Other Dances" and will collaborate with the Agate Encores Community Concerts in Moose Lake, MN. We plan on performing six public concerts in the up-coming year with a wide variety of music and venues. The theme of TWPO’s 2019-2020 season is “Sonic Soundscapes”, and concert titles are Symphonic Soundscapes (two performances), Sounds of the Holiday Season, It’s All About Transportation….How Does That Sound, Song and Dances of the Wild West, and Sounds of Summer. We will continue our Honors Musician Program and plan on performing with smaller ensembles made up of TWPO members at nursing homes and special venues. We have six measures of success for TWPO in the up-coming year. First, did the Board of Directors successfully implement the five new board positions to improve internal operations' Second, did attendance increase at TWPO performances' Third, did TWPO successfully perform six concerts. Fourth, did TWPO expand its venue of performance sites' Fifth, did TWPO successfully continue its Honors Musicians Program? Sixth, did TWPO have guest artists of the highest quality perform with them?
