Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

1. Increase the number of outreach and education contact hours to 1,377.5 for FY2012. 2. Increase number of enrolled students from 320 (FY2010) to 400 (FY2012). Use service statistics, questionnaires, scope of marketing events, anecdotal reviews from teachers and parent,s faculty records of students’ achievements and advancements.

Measurable Outcome(s)

The Conservatory was able to double the number of low-income children it reaches, increasing the number of youth served to 600, for over 1,378 total hours. 2. Funding has helped us implement a recruiting strategy in the spring of 2012. Enrollment for fall programs will be collected in September. To date, 310 students are enrolled. We created new or expanded existing outreach partners and performances venues, to include: University Club, Summit Avenue, The Baroque Room, Sundin Music Hall, Apple Valley High School, Summerset Elementary, Regions and Bethesda Hospitals, Jackson Elementary, Urban Academy, Passport Senior Center, and Hubbs Center. We created a new Chamber Music Department, headed by Rena Kraut; expanded the Suzuki Department, engaging Leif Peterson and Emily Rolka; and implemented a theory component. We expanded the Children's Program with a Music Workshop in January 2012. Evaluation included surveys, data, and feedback from teachers, partner venues, and students
