Volunteer burnout is a significant concern. We hope to collaborate with other community groups to share staff and transition to more paid staff (Event Manager). Added funds will help attract the right person and encourage Wilder Museum and possibly city cooperation to support an Event Manager position. We also hope to get guidance in search engine optimization (SEO). Algorithms and requirements change frequently to get a clear picture of the impact and ways to improve reaching our target audience. The Board can be engaged with more long range planning through speakers, data and reports on current trends, technology and audience needs. The Board will be more effective as it evolves from a "Worker" Board to a "Visionary" Board. We will use a mixture of surveys, anecdotal records, FTE data, and budget expenditures as completion indicators.
