Minnesota Ballet will encourage participation in dance by offering quality education and performances ranging from world premieres to beloved classics. Indicators of success include increased ticket revenues and enrollments in the School of Minnesota Ballet, evaluations of student skill progression, critical reviews, and audience feedback. 2: Minnesota Ballet will launch a new affordable and inclusive small performance space for grassroots arts organizations and emerging artists. Minnesota Ballet's new Studio Four theater will draw new, diverse audiences to performances in the historic Depot as demonstrated by the diversity and number of new acts booked and corresponding ticket sales.
Minnesota Ballet had well-received and increased participation in education offering and in performance boosted by two world premieres. Evaluation of Minnesota Ballet Academy included enrollment increase and student attainment of class-level goals; of performances included dancer mastery of choreography, favorable social media and audience feedback, critical reviews. 2: Minnesota Ballet's opening year of Studio Four drew diverse audiences for events from a Goth Ball to Nerd Night to an African-American solo singer. Studio Four was evaluated by the number of diverse programs, presenter satisfaction with studio, audience size and enthusiasm. A grant-funded Emerging Artist Series was planned in the 2024 fiscal year with performance dates of August 3 and 24, 2024.
