ACHF Arts Access
Increase the access of Minnesotans of different ages, abilities and backgrounds to Zorongo flamenco classes and performances. Surveys analyzed by venue size, demographics, price point, etc.; sites, sponsors and number of community-based performances, classes, free events; Board makeup. 2: Implement strategic plan to identify, hire and train a flamenco artist to assist, and later succeed, Zorongo's Founder/Artistic Director. Achieving the stages identified for this goal in Zorongo's Board approved FY2023-27 Strategic Plan; analysis of progress at Board meetings and annual retreat; course correction when needed.
Zorongo's classes and performances brought flamenco to a range of Minnesotans. We expand access by partnering with diverse performers and communities. Qualitative data was gathered in formal and informal conversations with audiences, students, and Board members. Demographic information was collected by venue, activity, price point, geographic distribution of activities, and participation levels. 2: Zorongo has implemented the first stage of the 2023-27 strategic plan by bringing in three guest artists and begin identifying potential successors. Guest artists/ potential successors as well as progress on our 2023-27 strategic plan were assessed by the Board together with the Artistic Director at regular meetings.
