Hopewell will implement DEI initiatives that build connections with, and understanding of, the Webber-Camden community. Progress on the accomplishment of specific actions, such as hiring specific roles and participating in community events. Additionally, we track attendance and demographics of enrolled participants. 2: Hopewell will provide students with individual musical experiences where they can acquire musical and social skills, such as confidence and presence. Student progress is evaluated through a digital skills module where teachers update each individual's accomplishments. We also provide students the opportunity for self-evaluation.
Hopewell hired a Community Engagement Coordinator. The DEI Committee completed its first full year of building the groundwork of initiatives. Evaluation was done by achieving specific actions, such as forming a DEI committee. We also tracked community involvement through events. Progress was reviewed by examining what processes and procedures have been updated in Hopewell's policies. 2: Hopewell provided lessons to 106 participants and hosted seven recitals for students. New instructors were hired to accommodate growing enrollment. Teachers tracked student progress towards goals and the skills that were gained through a digital skills module. Surveys were done during registration intake and outtake, and at the end of each session to track retention rates and demographics.
