ACHF Arts Access
6: ?The infrastructure of arts organizations is strengthened through access to operating funds, professional development and best practices sharing.? In its building, the Winsted Arts Council will continue offering its regular programming, such as Art Explorers and Summer Arts Camp, along with adding an open mic night for teens in the following year. The arts council will develop a few intergenerational events to be held in our building during the next two years. Regular programming and special events in our building will bring more people to the downtown area revitalizing the downtown. The storefront building and gallery will continue to bring awareness about the arts council to the community. The arts council as an organization and those participants and attendees will be affected by these changes. As a board, we will evaluate the benefits of our regular programming by interviewing the participants and their parents, and document the results. At the end of the second year of this grant, we will evaluate the open mic night in the same manner as the regular programming. New intergenerational events will be reviewed through participants interviews and documentation. The arts council will assess the benefits of having a storefront building and what that means to the community through participant interviews and random surveying.
