ACHF Arts Access
2: ?Regional residents experience a change in knowledge, attitude, behavior or condition due to public art, arts festivals or arts events.? Receiving funds to support our operations will allow us to expand the scope of our presentations to reflect our mission. Our mission as a platform for cultural exchange demands we be open and ready to facilitate difficult, but necessary conversations within our community. By focusing on connecting with more culturally diverse artists, filmmakers and musicians not only locally but also state-wide we will be providing local residents and visitors with a deeper sense of understanding our past, present and future cultural heritage. By sharing ideas and perspectives, through art, we are able to share ideas between people with different backgrounds and viewpoints leading to a greater understanding between our local residents' ever growing diversity. 3: ?The capacity of those providing arts experiences is increased or strengthened by changing, expanding, or enriching the ways in which they connect to their communities through the arts.? The audiences in small towns is constantly changing. The arts audiences are changing, both because our society is becoming more global due to the internet, as well as our audiences including tourists from Minneapolis-St. Paul and other states. Crow River Players transition is focused on making the Little Theatre a safe space, more open and ready to help facilitate the difficult, but necessary conversations within our community. By providing a space where artists are fully supported, each artist has an opportunity to stretch their capacity, and challenge their abilities. Under the board chair's guidance and leadership, Crow River Players will be a force towards assisting and empowering artists in expanding and enriching how they connect to their communities, and to their better selves. 6: ?The infrastructure of arts organizations is strengthened through access to operating funds, professional development and best practices sharing.? Crow River Players is in a transition period, and are currently reaching out to other nonprofits and art administrators to learn about best practices for the 21st century. As the organization is finding the niches to fill the community, Crow River Players can assist and support regional and statewide artists in developing and expressing their artistic visions. By securing operating funds and professional development for the Board of Directors, Crow River Players will have steady footing in providing the space, equipment, artist networks, and administrative structure for artists to grow, as well as be artistically challenged and financially compensated. Follow-up Q and A discussion will take place after each theatrical performance to determine audience response. Audience surveys will be available at the front desk and handed to each patron with their ticket/program. Online surveys will be sent out via online tools Survey Monkey and Mail Chimp before and after each season to assess audience response to programming.
