ACHF Arts Access
Minnesotans will connect to each other and engage in public spaces that are shaped and transformed by artists. Outcomes measured by number of projects produced, artists engaged, and by audience surveys, interviews, focus groups that assess change in attitudes about public spaces and social connections. 2: By engaging in public art experiences, artists and people of all ages, ethnicities, and abilities will be empowered to impact their community. Outcome measured by demographics of artists and program participants and by feedback via surveys, interviews, and focus groups about artist and participant confidence in impacting community.
Due to COVID-19, PASP outcomes for connecting Minnesotans in FY21 did not meet expectations. Discussion with teaching artists and youth for eARTh Lab workshops led to delivery of art kits, not in-person workshops in 2020. In 2021, we are doing in-person workshops again. 2: PASP achieved inclusion in commissions for artists with many artists of color commissioned to create new work. PASP held workshops and information sessions for artist opportunities and learned from the artists in attendance what methods are best to reach them and to make projects do-able.
