Walker|West Music Academy creates a music learning community rooted in the African American cultural experience, where people of all ages and backgrounds can gather, explore, and grow through music.

Proposed Measurable Outcome(s)

Students of diverse backgrounds will learn and grow through participation in music programs at Walker|West. Student enrollment will increase to 250. 1) Jackrabbit Registration System: tracks diversity through demographic data collection and enrollment. 2) Evaluation Tool: track success/retention rates for music education programs. 2: Walker|West will continue to strengthen long term organizational leadership and stability. Permanent placement and retention of new executive director and significant improvement in earned income via tuition increase and a target of 250 students per week versus 193 students as of January 2019.

Measurable Outcome(s)

In FY 2020 Walker|West started six new programs that starts the transformation to lifelong generational learning in music from infants to elders. Jack Rabbit registration, which provides demographic information Online and paper surveys of programs. 2: Walker|West implemented a formal performance review process for all staff. The organization has positive cashflow and profits. All employees now have official job descriptions and performance review systems in place. Walker|West has YTD profits and positive cashflow despite the Covid-19 impact. We also are supported by a fund development and marketing team.
